Oops! There really was a whole Episode
131
on July 20, 2008. Honest! But...the dog ate it. Check out the
replacement, though. It's almost as good! (And don't forget to watch
the video!)
Welcome,
video enthusiasts and pigeon haters!
Amy's
video about deterring pigeons using a motion-activated
sprinkler has
gone viral! It's been all over the place, from break.com to digg.com to
collegehumor.com to ebaumsworld.com and on and on. Woohoo!
If you're wondering where to get the sprinkler in the video,
it's called a ScareCrow, and it's made by a company called Contech.
Their web site is http://www.scatmat.com,
and they sell a number of products for dealing with garden pests and
badly behaved pets. We love it that they give us a humane way to let
the
animals know we don't always appreciate their company. Come
on in, y'all!
Take a look around and make yourself
comfortable.
We're so happy to have you! If you'd like to check out an episode or
two, be sure to visit the episodes
page
to see the show notes. Click the title of any episode to hear it within
your browser or use the buttons on the left to open iTunes or Podshow
and subscribe there. OK, here's
the deal, y'all: If iTunes and Podcast Alley had such a thing, we would
have filed our show under "Chick Stuff" or "Women's Entertainment."
This isn't just comedy; it isn't just a travelogue; and we definitely
aren't heavy hitters in the political arena. We're just two sisters
with an extensive background in laughing about life. And we live on
opposite sides of the North American continent. Maybe if we still lived
in the same town, we wouldn't have taken up podcasting, but things
being the way they are -- we had to.
So Grits to
Glitz isn't your average podcast. We gossip. We laugh. We talk about
Las Vegas (which rocks) and East Tennessee (which is on ole Rocky Top).
We review books, movies, TV shows, and music. We drink cocktails and
... did we already mention that we laugh a lot?
